Broken the band doesn't sacrifice art to follow radio guidelines.
We don't water down His message to stay within what's
comfortable. What do we do? Artistic pop soup is how we like to
think of ourselves. And whether you're 12 or 82, you're likely to
hear something sweet on the ears and close to the soul.

A little history. We started with Wichita singer/songwriter Jared
Brown, whose first album "Clean Rain" was released
independently in summer 2002, produced by
Michael Aukofer.
Broken the band released its first album in fall 2006.

Who are we? Don't we wish we knew. To put it into words, our
band is a harmonious mess of quality musicians who all formerly
studied music in college. But the similarities end there.

Our drummer loves Slayer. Our lead singer draws inspiration
from Rich Mullins and Josh Groban to Counting Crows and
everything in between. A classically trained bass player
moonlights on guitar. Round us out with a jazzy kid on bass. And
top it off with clear, angelic voices and lyrics that are simple
statements of the writer's faith. Like our audience, we come from
all backgrounds of music, family, and church. But the one thing
we do share is a love for untainted music.

For that is, who we are.
